NOLVAMED 20 (Tamoxifen Citrate)

NOLVAMED 20 (Tamoxifen Citrate) is a Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator (SERM) which is used for the treatment of metastatic breast cancer, adjuvant treatment of breast cancer an for the palliative treatment of premenopausal women with ER-positive disease. NOLVAMED 20 is manufactured as 20mg tablets which contain Tamoxifen citrate 20mg and excipients.

Tamoxifen Mechanism of Action

As a Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator (SERM), tamoxifen inhibits estrogen, preventing it from binding to its receptor. By doing this, it can cause a decrease in tumour growth and proliferation. It also causes cell death in cells with estrgen receptors.

Tamoxifen Dosage

20mg daily taken oally.

Tamoxifen Side Effects

Endometriacl CA, liver disease, cardiovacular and metabolic disorders, postmenopauseal bleeding, vision problems, striek and pulmonary embolism.

Tamoxifen Interactions

Butalbital, cimetidne, secobarbital SSRI antidepressants, warfarin, hormonal contraceptives, antiseizure medications.
