Tirzepatide by Hilma Biocare is a dual agonist of the GIP and GLP-1 receptors — a next-generation injectable compound for weight loss and glycemic control. As an analogue of gastric inhibitory polypeptide (GIP), it stimulates insulin release from the pancreas and provides a more pronounced reduction in hyperglycemia compared to selective GLP-1 agonists alone.

Tirzepatide is a linear polypeptide of 39 amino acids, chemically modified by lipidation to improve cellular uptake and metabolic stability. Dosage & Administration

Administer subcutaneously once weekly. Starting dose: 2.5 mg/week, titrated to 5 mg, 7.5 mg, 10 mg, or 15 mg based on individual response. Peak concentrations occur 24–48 hours after injection. Steady-state achieved after 4–5 weeks.

Side Effects

Contraindications
